Heather has been dancing as far back as she can remember. From the early age of four she knew performing was the life for her. As a student Heather competed in jazz, tap, lyrical, hip hop, and Pointe locally and nationally throughout the tri state area. After high school Heather began dancing at Montclair State University. In 2005 Heather landed a spot on the National Basketball Association’s Fan Patrol. This amazing opportunity allowed Heather to pursue her passion, dance all over the world with other to professionals, and promote for the NBA and WNBA.
Heather performed at the 2006 and 2007 NBA-All Star games in Houston, TX and Las Vegas, NV. She has traveled to Guangzhou, China and Seoul, Korea to dance in the NBA World Games. Heather also participated in the NBA Europe Live Tour in Barcelona, Paris, Rome, Cologne, and in the FIBA World Championship. During this time, she performed center court with various celebrities such as Christina Aguilera, Mya, Disney Channel’s Aly and AJ, Grammy award winner John Legend, and American Idol’s Carrie Underwood, just to name a few. In 2010, Heather became a New Jersey Hawkette; this dance team performed at various semi-professional football games, charity events, dance competitions and showcases.
Heather choreographed and coached for the Jersey Boxers Dance Team. In 2012, Heather became a model for the Harley Davidson clothing line and is featured on their website as well as print catalogs. She recently took up Ballroom and Latin dance styles and enjoys the new challenges it brings. Heather added entrepreneur to her bio in 2007.She owned a dance retail store, Dance Wear Etc., in Nutley, NJ from 2008 and sold it in 2016 when she decided to add Mommy to her bio. She is so excited and wants to wish her daughter, Helena, good luck as she takes the stage for the first time this year! Heather is a proud Starz alumna. She is excited to choreograph, as well as hit the stage with past teammates and students, in the alumni dance which is featured years in this recital as we celebrate 25 years! Of all Heather’s many accomplishments, one of her greatest has been the ability to pass her knowledge and love of dance down to her students.
For the past 17 years, she has been teaching a variety of styles to both recreational and competitive students. She is so proud of her students’ progress and nonstop hard work. Continuing to take dance classes, in New Jersey and New York City, so she can remain educated in the field and keep up with the latest trends is very important to her. In July 2021, Heather obtained her Acrobatic Arts certification to help her students with safe and effective progressions in Acro Dance and Tumbling. Heather spends every day doing what she loves thanks to the art of dance. Never miss a chance to dance!
